Olga has a genuine desire to understand you, your needs, your truth. Through judgment-free curiosity, care, and connection, she provides identity affirming and culturally responsive support at your speed. Whether you are looking to gain deeper understanding of yourself, need support in navigating new life stresses, or are looking to build skills and develop goals, Olga provides the collaborative approach that honours your values.  Olga’s works from a person-centred, equity focused, anti-oppressive, sex-positive and trauma informed lens.

Since 2007, Olga has worked with clients from various backgrounds through her work with equity, inclusion, accessibility, education, settlement and leadership.

She may be the right fit for you if you are looking to explore and process issues related to identity (race, gender, culture, sexuality, ADHD, ability, status, justice, etc) and/or in navigating new life changes within your home, work, and academic life.

Having been on both sides of the support relationship, Olga understands how challenging it can be to find the right support that truly understands you. She normalizes the process and provides unwavering support to help you get to where you want to be.  With humility, she brings her authentic self to each connection and hopes to support you in honouring yours.

Olga is registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (#852291) and can provide virtual counselling and psychotherapy (supervised) to those living within Ontario and Nova Scotia.. Additionally, Olga offers support services through consultation, workshops and presentations on the topics of equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.

Background

Olga has worked in the public sector for over 15 years, providing counselling, settlement supports, advocacy, leadership and education for youth, adults, and community groups. As a Supervisor with the We Welcome the World Centres of the Peel District School Board, Olga has worked alongside and led counsellors, settlement workers, teachers, and admin staff to support folxs from around the world. Most recently, in the role of Supervisor of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility for the City of Cambridge, Olga worked collaboratively to advance reconciliation efforts, community development, and overall equity efforts. She has sat on the board of a supportive housing organization and of Rainbow Refugee Association of Nova Scotia.

Since immigrating to Canada with her parents, she has engaged in the lifelong process of understanding her Latinx culture, navigating racial identity, and developing responsibility as a settler on these lands. Her journey of healing generational trauma, accepting her neurodiversity (ADHD) and queer identity, navigating parenting at various developmental stages and learning from mistakes, has driven her passion for fostering a culture of care for ourselves and communities.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, playing D&D, painting, starting (sometimes finishing) crafts, roller derby, trying new foods and spending time in nature.
